Why Glasswatch?

I bought a physical stopwatch and loved the clicky buttons and playful sounds. I wanted something like that on my Mac.

Most people don’t need more than the free Clock app — and that’s fine. But for the 1% of us who care about detail, design, and flexibility, small annoyances start to matter:

• You can’t resize the stopwatch window.
• You can’t run multiple timers side by side.
• You can’t see a stopwatch and countdown at once.

Glasswatch solves those things — and it does so while embracing the Unix philosophy: one tool, one job, done well. It’s not meant to replace every timer or become a full productivity suite. It’s a small, thoughtful alternative for people who appreciate software with taste.
